• Irregular striations
• Irregular tips

Raised stripes along the edges of the crystal are a marked feature — but not unique to Lumerian Quartz. Arkansas quartz also features striped edges that can be felt to the touch.

What really sets Lumerian Quartz apart from Arkansas Quartz is that these striations or steps are not uniform across all sides of the crystal. One side may be highly striated while the next is perfectly smooth.

Additionally, some sides of the crystal are perfectly clear, while others are almost opaque.

Next, the tips of the crystals are notably irregular. The tips are often lop-sided, longer on one side than the others. One edge can often be found to have a dip in it, where the main shaft of the crystal suddenly dips into a curve that leads to the tip.
